“Being in control of your life means taking control of your finances”

How did it all start?

Like a lot of people , I had worked hard to gain entry into a reputable profession. Working 50/60 hours per week getting settled I noticed that every month I as running out of money, and regularly ended up with letters from the bank stating I was overdrawn, and having to pay £35 for the letter received.

I assumed (wrongly) that being in a white collar role would afford me the salary where I wouldn’t have to be concerned with money bills or debt! There I said it…the D word!

Now I look back I was green…all over! Just like an ever green.

I did not have a clue how to run my affairs, and as with my new role, I thought I could buy the latest gadgets, fashions, car and home my new role afforded me.

How wrong I was! Arrogant, ignorant and immature would be three adjectives I would use to describe my thought processes at that time.
